I'm pretty sure this has come up before but I can't find the info

I've come to terms with the door mirrors not folding automatically but I thought it should be possible for the passenger door mirror to angle down when reversing, assuming that the control knob is positioned to that mirror.

Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

    Cheers in advance

I think you need electric seats to enable it. I cant seem to find it in VCDS for my 2008 saloon but on the 2011 Q5 I had on loan, the long coding provided the tickbox to enable it.

Maybe thats what I've seen before, although I felt sure someone had found a way around the electric memory seats. It just seems strange when the mirrors are electrically manoeuvrable! Thanks for the input though

Can be done without memory seats.

In VCDS go to the Module 52 Passenger Door. In Coding, if you see long coding you can set it, if you see short coding then you can't.

Assuming you see long coding, use the long code helper and change byte 4 from 40 (non folding mirror) to 4C.

works a treat, although the mirror only seems to tilt back up when switching the mirror knob back to centre. It doesn't tilt back just by taking it out of reverse.

    Hope that helps
