Warning Light (Lossing Power)

Hi,

My 02 1.8T Passat is giving me a dash warning Light, a triangle inside a almost closed circle, it is directly above the actual engine light. I just had my car shipped to korea and my partner lost the manual. Therefore, I do not know what the light means. The manual has been ordred, the dealer can not explain.

To make matters worst I took it to the VW dealer here in korea and the computer diagnostic shows nothing.

This is what it does: at around 60 miles and above the light come on and it just not give any power as I take my foot off the gas and quickly re-engage the power comes back but just to do it again. The RPM during this transition is about 6000 as I keep the gas in as I release it returns to its normal 2800-3200. Since this started I can bearly hit 100 MPH as I release and re-engage.

I have the ABD quick Flow, ABD XS turbo Blow Off Valve, Turbo timmer, ABD Fuel valve and ABD Trictonic exhaust system for over a year. This problem just started, and the computewr diagnostic has no error.

I need the real PROS opinion and solution.

It sounds like the traction control light coming on, if the ecu detects wheel spin it cuts power to the engine. It sounds like yours is cutting in when it doesn't need to. Try pushing the ESP button on the dash. Does the light flash?

Thanks a million, The minute it blinked I press the ASR button and it kept asking for more at 115 MPH.
