    Thanks! is it the actual motor I need to ask for when contacting GSF or a sensor? Slightly confused!

    And thanks for the tip! wouldn't go down too well if i walked oil over the newly laid carpet!! lol

    I have contacted GSF parts and they say it's not a part they do?? And so we have to get it from VW

    Phoned the leeds branch and it appears VW have changed the code but with a bit of patience we finally worked out what we needed and they do have it. If anyone else has this problem phone leeds branch and ask for Jeff

    The part I received was identical to the one removed, same manafacturer etc. I have just checked the invoice and it cost £205.63 inc VAT.
    Mind you don't drop that rear screw !!
    Also worth a mention .... after you have removed it make sure you take your shoes off when you go in the house cos the sooty oil deposits get everywhere ..... and I can advise its a real PIG to clean up off the carpet !!!
    Look on ebay, loads of suppliers, around £75 !
