hi all, thismorning i fitted my new coilovers to my golf any way that went fine, when i started her up i had the amber/tellow steering wheel on the dash (power steering was fine) so i have had in the past this light on and after a drive down the road it goes out, anyway on my way home the light went RED and i lost power steering, anyway i plugged it in at a garage on my way home using LAUNCH and it had a code of steering torque sensor, i deleted the code but my steering light is now RED all the time and i have no power steering, can someone please help?????

    Try this first

    Code:
    Checking Steering Torque Sensor (G269)

     Prerequisites:

    • Ignition ON
    • Engine ON (Idle)
    • System voltage at least 11.0 V.
[Select] [01 - Engine] [Meas. Blocks - 08] Group 001 [Go!] Field 2: Steering Torque Sensor (G269) Turn the Steering Wheel multiple times completely to the left and right. The Torque Values should change. If the Torque Values do change, it's most likely an intermittent Fault in the Wiring/Connectors. If the Torque Values do NOT change, the Sensor itself or the Power Supply (Terminal 15) might be faulty. Group 004 [Go!] Field 2: Power Supply (Terminal 15), Specification: "Term. 15 ON" [Done, Go Back] [Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
    may shed some light

PS i change you chassis code on the scan for security
