hi, i have recently posted up threads about my car losing coolant and not knowing the issue. however i have had the head gasket done on the car and all is well.

for those who dont know i have a golf mk4 pd115 ajm engine code.

since having this done the car does not have any pull and drives ruggid. its usual oick up has gone slugish. Now i am having to use one lower gear for speeds i would do usually in higher gears for example at 60mph in 6th gear car would pick up speed fine and now i have to use gear 5.

it feels like there is no turbo on the car!! 1st gears 2nd and 3rd can be ok at times but when the car is on motorway doing 70-80mph you put your foot down and nothing happens, the revs stay stuck around 2000rpm.

    Can anyone help??

p.s i unpluged the air mass meter and it went worse there was not pull in any gears

Probably the reason nobody has responded is that this kind of problem has been covered over and over again and various suggestions can be found by doing a search. Scan for fault codes is your best best before guessing. Could be a boost leak or a faulty MAF (which often doesn't log a fault)
