My 94 2.6E Cab still has the original alloys, however I have never been totally happy with the size (15 inch) and the way they fill the wheelarch. I have yet to see another car with these wheels which does rather appeal to me. They are in need of a refurb so need to decide whether to do this or replace. I am not a great lover of aftermarkets and hate huge rims and ultra low profiles (bit too old for all that)

So I am trying to find alternative originals fited as standard or as Audi optional equipment to this model.

As you can see from the pic these originals have polished rims, making a refurb expensive i guess....

I am interested to know what others think? or better still post photos here of alternative original alloys to help me decide.

    Thanks for your help

How about these? just bought them on Ebay for £205 (less tyres). Hope they were a good buy? Seller says they are in mint condition and were from a Final Edition Cabriolet (17 inch)

They will look great on your cabby, but I think they would have been a better buy with tyres fitted at that price

Thanks. Got them cheaper in the end as one rim slightly dented (being carefully tweeked by my friendly engineers!) Really happy these are original Audi spec and agree should smarten up the car somewhat. Need to find some reasonable covers - believe they are 215/45/17 plus centre caps. Worried about increasing wheel O/D how do you work it out?

Will post before and after pics here when ready and polished.

Incidentally did you ever resolve your quest for new rims on your Coupe? Refering to your thread back in Oct 2009

Unfortunately I still have not found any thing I fancy or can afford, but I'm getting closer.
Just as a point in ref to your tyre size,I don't know exactly how to calculate the size change but the rims/tyres fitted to my car when it was about 3 years old are just as you say, 215/45/17.
As I get closer to affording new rims/tyres the price goes up and the availability becomes less, but I'll keep at it.

Ref the calculator, try google rolling circumference/tyres or something along those lines
    Good luck

reallyfree, you got a bargain with those wheels. my local dealer quoted me £376 plus VAT each for them. I have a set of four on my 2.6 coupe and wanted a fifth for a spare.

Nice wheels those Boleros, and very sought after, so probably a good price. The lacquered rims will suffer the same fate as the original alloys, best to repair any scratches or chips asap if you can

Picked up the rims yesterday and been smiling all weekend. They are in fantastic condition, recently refurb'd. As Scotty pointed out the polished rims are most vunerable, and this guy saw fit to leave them unlackered, which for a fair weather car is fine. A quick 5 mins each wheel with some Solvol Autosol and they look a million dollars.
