Hi there, I own a 2.0TDI 140 DSG. I've noticed recently it doesn't feel as pokey as it did when I first got it. Then out of the blue as I accelerated, the engine, 'hiccupped 3 times'. It hasn't done it since then so don't know if it's an isolated incident or possibly related to not been as pokey as it used to be?? I've been looking to see if it's related to the MAF sensor? No warning lights came on, but i've read on a few posts that it may still show an error code?

    Any help appreciated? cheers

I will suggest a full service inc. fuel filter and a fault code scan but I'm sure after 2 years the OP has had the problem rectified.

Have you checked with Audi if your injectors are subject to recall.

I just did a full service, and they couldn't find any faults in the scan. they also checked and there was no recalls on this model, they recomended to try a engine tretment and see how i get on.
I just wanted to see if the persone how posted had any input as in what it was that worked for him, a sensor, air intake, etc...

    thanks though

I'd forgotten all about my original post, but here's what the issue with my old Audi was.

I took it to an Audi specialist, they checked everything and couldn't find anything wrong...that was until another tech suggested taking a sample of diesel from inside the engine.

What they took out wasn't 100% diesel, it had oil mixed in too it was a completely different colour (sorry, so long ago now can't remember what colour) anyhow it wasn't right and it turned out an oil seal had gone, leaking oil into the diesel mixture causing the lack of power. Basically, they said if I ignored it, one day, the engine just wouldn't start.

Because of that model of engine, I was looking at a repair bill of £3k plus because of the labour involved getting to the faulty pump. If they also discovered it had damaged the injectors, it would cost even more. Not having that money, I got shot of the car.

Stupidly, I didn't phone Audi at the time a it turned out if the car had a full Audi service history, they would have contributed towards cost of repair

I'm now looking to get another A3 sport back, but the newer model with common rail engine. I hope this helps.
