Must have had a deprived childhood though - parents bought National petrol at a fairly local garage - because we could pay later (they could never afford to pay at the time!): so no Tiger stickers! The garage we bought that car from sold Regent fuels and I remember (as a 9 year old) asking why we couldn't use DERV in the Minor as it was a penny or two cheaper!

One of my brother-in-law's family ran a Shell garage in the late 60's. My sister got married on 1st Jan 72 and got a full set of matching glasses from them! B-I-L is Scottish!!
