Whether you did what was right or wrong for your pal is something you may question now but rest assured in the knowledge that if he had failed or should I say declined further, how would you feel knowing that you did nothing even when you actually knew what was going on .
Take it from me and probably everybody reading this, you did right old son, well done and keep your chin up.
    Good luck

This is a toughie - but one that the pros need to work with - I came through a hell of a time after an accident - PTS its gets to you and you have so many issues to work through that you dont even know where to begin. You have to know that unless you have been through what the person has been through mentally aswell as the actual crises then you really cant do much to help him. This is a case when you really have to get the pros in to sort it out. What I will say is that you dont get over it - you just find the ways to help you deal with it and move on. I still suffer from night terrors - and I still get madder than hell on the road if someone does something stupid - red mist desends. Had that on sunday when a **** run a light as I was filtering right. I had to take evasive action and narrowly missed him - spun the car around and gave chase he turned into a side street and stopped and my bottle went. Anyways was plesant talked to him and told him what a **** he was to jump a red light. But you know these things bring it home - I took a good year to get over it. six months was pretty crap to tell you the truth trying to deal with it and work it out in my head what had happened. It took me sometime to accept the changes and that I wasnt going where I thought I was going in life. So if anyone is in the same position and you have a firend in need then get them help - dont try to do it on your own. If you do and he does jump in front of that train then you will blame yourself.

    Hello
Thank you for your post, readint it really struck home!. I have done what I can by taking him to the Hospital. The outcome isnt what I wanted but as many have said its still early days.
This is the only time Ive come across mental health issues and im totally out of my depth as I asume many others would be.
I wish you all the best and hope as time passes you can find an inner peace.
