Hello all, have a very unusual problem. My Bora 130 has started to blow cool air from the heaters. when i lifted the bonnet and checked the water pipes did not seem to have any pressure in them as if the water pump was not circulating the water. however the car did not loose any water and did not run hot even on a drive back from ireland . no loss of power and everything else seems fine. anyway i have decided to have cambelt/waterpump done and was wondering if it is safe to drive it to the garage (about 20 miles) without doing any damage. Cam belt last done 18,000 ago when i bought the car but have a feeling the water pump was not changed . learned lots about my baby for this site, keep up the good work.

This could just be a fault in the valve to take water into the heater matrix or an air lock rather than something more serious.

I would firstly check your header tank and radiator have plenty of water in whilst the car is cold, start her up on your driveway and keep an eye on her whilst running. After ten minutes you should feel the top and bottom pipes from and too the block becoming warm if everything is ok with the cooling system. If this is the case then you know its your heater matrix/valve/control board etc etc.
You may think I'm being helpful yet sarcastic, this is only because I feel I need to help you to help yourself in the future
