Having just taken delivery of my Georgian Blue Golf I tried to buy a paint touch up stick at my local VW dealer. From my registration number he told me my car was Shark blue - I thought it was Georgian blue. Does anyone know if they are the same colour?

You haven't said which model exactly.

Well the do a Georgia Blue which is more of a grey and Shadow Blue. They don't list a Shark Blue for any Golfs.

Its strange how they call colours different names in different countries?

I asked for a touchup stick and they gave me one. This is the only thing they give you apart from a litre of oil, tight bar stewards.

If you want to PM me with your VIN number I will tell you the VW colour code and more details from the number.

My Shadow Blue is P6P, it shows P6 but VW add a P at the end.

Sorry this is an old post talking about car colours but I noticed this link that shows VW have 36 Golf colours. We only have 9 colours available in the UK, there are 11 shades of blue when we only have 1 so who has all the others?

I think Golf colours have got drabber and drabber over the years.

I have noticed that other countries seem to have much more vibrant colours offered than we get .

I have a Mk 4 Golf in Jazz blue which is a really nice colour.

Maybe by the time the Golf Mk 8 appears they'll be offerered in 10 shades of grey.
