Just a quick question is it possible to change the rocker cover gaskets on a 2.5 Tdi without disturbing the fuel system. As my fuel system has been a bitch to bleed off when I've taken off the fuel pipes in the past???

No. You have to take all 6 pipes off before the covers can cam off, but it should start after a few turns. I have had no problems having done it several times

In earlier cars they didn't fit a priming pump in the tank. So I end up manually bleeding a few times then having to crack off the injectors to finally get it started.

The one I did on Thursday (after fitting new cams) took about 2 minuets of cranking with the pipes cracked off on each injector until fuel came through and then another 30 seconds or so to fire up when they were tightened up.
