    Hi everyone

Ive just bought a golf mk5 gt tdi and im trying to get hold of the cream coloured hook that the parcel shelf rope hooks onto on the drivers side.
have been told its part of the main trim and costs£28 !!!
any ideas? I could try the breakers as a last resort, just wondered if anybody has bought this as a seperate item and not part of the main trim?

Hi Dave I managed to get one from a member of another forum.
They are difficult to source and your best bet is to get the full trim piece from a scrap yard and just replace the full unit with both hooks on.
That was going to be my next option but happened upon a contact that had one hook left and I melted it into place using the tip of a iron.
The trim piece is about £28 from a dealer.
    Hope this is some help

    Hi Dave,

I did have some of the hooks kicking about...I'll have a look and see if I can find anymore and if I do I'll drop you a line.

It's a bit of a faff changing them but still beaths paying over-the-odds for the whole new trim.
