    Hi,

My warning buzzer for the leaving the lights on/indicators relay noise/ seatbelt and low fuel warning noise has stopped working.

Does anybody know firstly if all these warning noises are related, ie. noise comes from the one source, and secondly how to fix it.

Its becoming quite annoying because i've left my lights on now twice!!

    Thanks.

I could tell you how to fix it, you quite handy with cars? or electronics?

Turn the car off and remove the key!

Pull the lever under your steering wheel to adjust.... grab hold of the steering wheel and pull back. tighten the lever back, now you will see a sheet of material, pop both sides up of the plastic thats attached to the material sheet, be careful... you may snap the clips.

Now you have the plastic off, you will see 2 torx screws (sorry, dont know the sizes) once you remove them, you may pull back your clock/cluster, its a bit of a pain in the butt to remove but it will comes out.

Now that you have the clock/cluster dials out, work around slowly unclipping clips holding the cluster together (2 parts) once you split the cluster, in there you will see the speaker.... check that it is not loose in any way, if it is not then you have a faulty speaker. I would find an old stereo unit or anything small as the speaker inside the cluster and hope the donor part will fit and work.

    Hope this helps.

DO NOT turn the ignition on without the cluster back and slotted fully back in.

Thanks for the info, I'd be able to fix most things and I had a look at it today but basically I couldnt get the plastic clips connected to the material off. I didnt want to force it too much becasue I was afraid of breaking it but at least I know where the problem is. I was driving the other day a few days after it stopped working and the inidicator relay noise started again but stopped after a few minutes so I reckon the connection to the speaker must be loose.

I didnt want to go to the main dealer with just that problem so I'll wait until the next major service and get him to fix it unless I get really irritated with it and go at it again.

No, havn't made any mods to the electronics.

Are you saying there as well that the warning light buzzer and the car alarm led are all on the one circuit? The LED for the alarm on the door is working ok.

Try this, turn the car on and then off but dont remove the key, turn the lights on and open your door, if the speaker is not beeping, then gently tap your clock at the left hand corner, this is where the speaker is at. By tapping the clock, it will make the speaker slightly jump and you may hear it beep and stop, beep and stop.

Let me know how it goes.

Golf bhoy, you may be right but lets not forget that the door LED is connected to the immobilizer and thebuzzer is connected to the clocks....

Only way i can put both of them together is by saying that the clocks are running to the immobilizer too... but physically, both are not on the same circuit therefor not working together.

Tried this and it didnt work. I dont think I can tap the plastic screen over the dash with enough force to make the speaker move.

I went back looking at the clips aswell and I got them out. I removed the two T20 torc screws facing towrads the front but then the panel wouldnt come forward - it moves about 10mm and gets stuck. Is there something else to remove before I can get it out? I had a look and couldnt see anyting else holding it in, it feels like its getting stuck behind it somewhere?
