    Hi,

A central locking problem seems to be a common problem with these cars, and mine is no exception- the central locking doesn't work!
After much tinkering, fiddling and inspection, I have determined that:

    • The graphite blades are intact
    • The electric motor works (while detached from module and powered separately)
    • No leaks exist in the hoses
    • The module "clicks" when the key is turned in any of the locks and in either direction.

I am at a loss to find an answer, and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this?

    Thanks,
    Gareth

Try feeling for a Vacuum at the outlet of the pump, on locking. Pressure on opening. Maybe a problem where the pipes go.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately there is nothing.

I have been able to operate the locks this morning by blowing down the pipe.

The module clicks however the pump does not operate.

Exactly the same symptoms from another module I borrowed this afternoon.

It may be missing a signal / feed from somewhere. May need a wiring diagram to check at pump. Have you checked the loom from drivers door to A-Pillar?

    Hi Alan02,

Thanks for your help with this. Where is the wiring loom positioned through the vehicle and where can I find a wiring diagram?

    Hi Gareth,
The wiring from each door lock runs through the rubber sheath that goes from the inner edge of door to the area where the hinges are fixed.Wiring diagram a bit harder,Haynes perhaps ?
