Can anyone please advise me on how to remove the clip which holds the bottom hose to the turbo. The car is my son's and he complained about a "whooshing noise" under load and lots of black smoke. The hose looks split but I can't figure out how to release the clip.

Thanks, I got that one off ok, it's the bottom hose which goes down under the radiator. The hose goes into the turbo housing and there is a raised clip which I tried prising off but I'm guessing it is somehow locked on, I just can't see how.

you pull up on the clip at the ridged opening and then pull the pipe ,it should pop apart , the clips are meant to stay put.

Sorry to be thick but there is an eye on the clip which I can get a screwdriver in, when you say pull up, do you mean up or out. The clip is flat and recessed into the turbo housing but when I try to prise it out with the screwdriver is doesn't move.

are you under the car here at the radiator ?? as you keep mentioning turbo and thats up top

if so raise the clip at that eye you mentioned and the pipes should just part with a good pull whilst keeping the clip raised.

all the clips are basically the same weather under the car or in the engine bay..

Got it, the clip on the turbo, has a raised catch round the the back of the turbo which I prised out while pulling on it. The clip at the other end is different and just came off with a good tug. As predicted, the hose is split so hopefully a new hose should solve it. Thanks for your help.
