Hi all, think i need to replace my cam adjuster seal on my a4 b5 1.8 20v non turbo apt engine, have oil leaking very slightly from that sort of area, have replaced valve cover gasket, looked at breather hoses etc and still have this problem. oil smell from inside car, oil lying on heatshield on left of engine( facing front) cleaned the suspected area where cam seal is and looks oily again and i think its getting worse, getting to point is it reasonbly easy or does it involve lifting out camshafts etc. part itself only £6 to buy from audi, any advice much appreciated cheers billy.

camshafts have to be lifted a bit to allow the adjuster to get clearance

hi, its the half moon seal i want to replace, is it just a case of lifting one end of camshaft and taking out half moon seal and pop in the new one, noticed there was another part that comes with the seal, looks like a c spanner.
    cheers billy
