Start Stop

Hi Guys,

My Start/stop system has just stopped working or its so infrequent its just ridiculous, I know all of the usually things that stop it working but I went on a 10mile round trip today through the city and at least five times when it should have definitely worked, But it just keeps coming up with the A sign with the circle around it

Any Ideas

It's hard to suggest anything if you know all the things that stop it cutting in. A/C settings are probably the most likely in this situation ... unless it's genuinely faulty.

This Is it, Its a difficult thing to answer and i know if i take it to them they will say show us and then i know it will work making me look like a fool!!!

But no the air con is of I turned the stereo of so there was no extra power drain and I wasn't on a hill, The engine was warm I couldn't see any reason why it wasn't working But its been like this for a while now

Very Strange because it was working fine before that.

I just Had a quick read on the audi website and it does say that if the battery level Is low then it wont work,

Now the other day I left the ignition on for ages whilst I washed the car It could be that my battery is still a bit low, Im off to liverpool tomorrow so Im sure that will charge it nicely so Il give it a go when i get there,

I would agree that the issue is the battery. I had a similar experience when my car alarm went off, the start stop was inactive for about 4 days despite driving at least 1 hour each day. Working again now though (and still freaking me out!)
