tail gates!!!!

hi,
im going to do a conversion on my mk 5 golf GT TDI, i want to know if i could put a GTI tail gate on my diesel golf. The GTI tail gate is of a 3 door and my golf is a 5 door, could anyone please help and tell me it will fit

The rear hatch is identical regardless on whether you have a 3 or a 5 door.

i was told that the 3 door tails gates are slightly short on the sides. but is the wiring loom needs changing from my old tailgate.
