Hi, I have just bought 01 tdi 130 passat and whenever I move the steering wheel slowly small turns left to right it seems almost to bite back or jerk...

Right wheel has wear in middle tyre??

Car drives and brakes in straight line, theres no bangs or knocking,no nervousness or shaking like wheel balancing needed dont eg. 60mph.

    Any help plz???

P.S Jacked car up shook **** outa wheel and no play...

    Thanx!

    Check the power steering fluid.
    Check the track rod ends.
BUT sounds like you need new front tyres.

Have the top of the strut load bearings checked. If one of these seize up the steering goes in small jumps. Regards Peter

You're not making any sence. You either have a worn notchy drive shaft or you do not. Are you suggesting that the jumpy steering only happens when moving. Regards Peter
