    Hi Fella's

    Quick one for you all....
Mate at work with a 51plate Bora 2.0 had a service and new pads all round from a mobile mech (would have done it for hime myself if I hadnt recently moveed so far away)..... basically the mechanic used good, but non original pads

Basically, wneh he switches the car on, he now gets a "check brale pads" warning on the dash, and the light stays on.

Is there a way of cheating the system to avoid this until they need replacing again? Can the wire that usually plugs into the pads be bridged somewhere?

Car is fine, and stops well... I think he just finds it annoying

    Ta in advance

Yes, all you need to do is connct the two wires together where the plug is for the pads

You just need to create a jumper across the socket. Bend a thin nail, paperclip or something like that into a u shape and then insert making sure contact is made on both points of the socket.
