Wednesday afternoon came out of a shop to find my alarm sounding.
That evening it went of a couple more times outside before I worked out how to lock it from the switch on the drivers door and climb out the passenger side with out arming the alarm.

Had some free time this afternoon so dragged out an XP laptop and ran a VacCom scan with this result:

00929 - Locking Module for Central Locking: Front Passenger Side (F221)
    27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Now what exactly am I looking for? I have had a look in the Haynes manual but there is nothing very helpful in there, is this a door card and every thing stripped job or can it be addressed in situ?

I am assuming it is just a dry/dirty joint and a bit of cleaning and WD40 will do the job (like it did recently on my sticky tailgate release).

    Any pointers chaps?

You can't look at the door module without striping the door to get to it. It is possibly a damaged wire between the ccm and the door module. Have fun.

Thanks, I guessed as much, a trapped wire is unlikely but I blame all the *******s who insist on slamming the passenger door shut!
