A6 AC Issue?

I have a A6 Avant 2009. In the recent cool spell we all expreienced here in UK whilst taking my better half (I'm told) to work she complained after nearly 10 miles the car was still freezing. Me as usual had not noticed however once pointed out I realised she was indeed correct (never wrong - long term relationship ) However on the 11 mile and some 15 minutes of 70mph driving heat! I then experimented with the AC turning off AUTO. Instant blistering heat when all vents selected manually as the car was still well cold!

Next stop dealer! They took the car imediately and carried out all tests and I collected the car later with explanation alls well. Dont think so. Tech went run with me and I replicated the issue. -8 outside all windows open as the AC only vamps up when below temp he said. Nope not working for me. Demonstraited in manual loadsa heat. Perplexed he stated all reading were OK on tech but eventually after opening the windows for third time he agreed it did not heat when in AUTO mode.

Audi want car for three days next week to investigate this amongst other niggling issues. Anyone else experienced same. Dealer initially claimed car did not have preheater but does just in different menu to activate. In manual the car is blowing tepid air after quarter mile even in -4 this morning

Ouch! You're not having much luck with this car, are you? Sorry to hear about the problem - hopefully the tech at the dealers will be able to get to the bottom of it and fix it for you.
