    Default T5 towing with tiptronic box – 07-02-2010,10:45 PM
    Hi all, have just got an 04 plate LWB t5 and about to get it fitted with a towbar. It has the tiptronic gearbox fitted and am just wondering if anyone has had any experiences both good and bad with this set up.

    Hi Allan

    We have fitted towbars to plenty of T5s we have never had any problems arise with the tiptronic gear box. However we strongly recommend that you use the Plug-in wiring kit with this vehicle, by using the plug-in kit this will deactivate rear parking sensors(if fitted) automatically and it will not Invalidate any dealer warranty.
