The wife handed back her CC last week and when they checked the car over they found that both Front tyres where down too 3mm in less than 9000 ,which was a shock to us both.So everyone best check your front tyres for wear as they are not cheap tyres on the CC.

Was that 3mm in the centre or across the full width?

When I had a B6 Sport saloon I found the fronts wore more rapidly at the centre when run at VW's blanket pressure recommendation. Reducing the pressures helped without any noticeable negative side effects appearing. 15k or less on the fronts at VW's pressures seems not to be unusual, depending on tyre brand/type.

Too early in my CC's life to judge likely tyre wear. However, its worth saying that my car came with tyres set at full load pressures which if maintained on a car routinely run only with one or two people on board amounts to effective over inflation. Needless to say I quickly dropped the pressures to part load as the car rarely carries more than two people and their luggage.
