    i hope someone can help me with this, i have been offered a set of clocks for my a4 which are from an a6 but have the same colour plugs, i have tried them in my car & everything seems to work but the car cuts out straight away & the immobilizer light flashes, do they need to be coded to the car & does it need to be done by an audi dealer or can it be done elsewhere

    keys have to be coded...and immobilizer coded to ECU aswell possibly.
    what i know of......... its only a main dealer job.

    they can be coded with rosstech software and lead software but you will also need someone with vagtacho to read immo pin thats the hard bit as does always get pin
