    Hi

Just went to costco , opened boot filled it up and then closed it and it wont lock

So it will close but i can just pull it open no need to press the button or anything, Internally the message "Luggage Compartment Open" comes on when I drive off and also the car symbol with the door open

I have tried locking it with the key No luck ,

Any ideas what is wrong , I have had a read round and couldnt find anything on here with exactly the same issue

Update: In addition to this , if i press the boot open button on the door , NOTHING not a pip squeek... could this mean its a FUSE? or a major electrical balls up

    Thanks in advance

    Waseem

If the remote and the key fail to work it usually means the lock is faulty.

hi, just a note for anyone following this, i had same thing happen on my 2002 boot. none of buttons worked, couldnt lock the car properly etc. all fuses fine. i stripped the carpets and trim off boot lid to expose lock assembly. eventually took it out and found a little clip had come undone inside that latched the catch shut (effectively like shutting one of the doors with the handle still pulled) it was fiddly as f**k to get back together and had obviously happened before as there was a tiny cable tie in place of the clip so maybe its a weak point in te lock...
anyway, all sorted now, never been a problem since.
