    Default A3 drivers seat catch not working – 23-01-2010,07:14 PM
    Hi,
    I have an early 2003 A3 1.8T-Sport 3-Door and the drivers seat wont release and fold forward & the height adjustment doesn't work on this seat either.

    Does anyone know how to fix either I guess the 2 are related?

    check on the seat base there is a small piece of metal that bends and affects this

    Thanks towcestervag - can you give any more details as to what this "small piece of metal that bends" looks like or exactly where it is?

    just had a look at elsa and the diagram doesnt show part
    the little bracket is on the base if you manually release the backrest you should be able to see the bent mechamism
