    Hi guys

I have a Bora Tdi 150 thats covered a fair few miles. I have noticed that after sitting in traffic or early into my jouney having the left the car overnight the turbo does not appear to be there i.e. can't here it and doesn't pull as well. later in the after a few mins I can then feel the turbo come in. The car runs smoothley even without turbo and there are no fault codes. Any ideas? sticking veins? MAF?

    Cheers

You need to get it fault code read carried out. I imagine one of two fault codes will be stored, 17964 or 17965 and from that we can tell you what to do next.

If there are no codes (sorry I missed that bit), fit a new genuine VW dealer supplied exchange Air Mass Meter, DO NOT buy one from anywhere else.

Well I suggest you don’t try the disconnecting the AMM test unless you have the ability to double check for fault codes first and then delete the open circuit code after. If you do have your own code reader, then the disconnecting test MAY change the way it behaves but I go buy a simple rule, "no codes, no power, new AMM" and when charging out the work to a customer, this is the most economical test you can do as the price of an AMM fitted is not much more than an hours work.
