Just wondered if anyone can help. Couldn't open the boot yesterday, tried the key but it wouldn't turn at all so hosed it with wd40 but still no movement, no noise from the boot when the lock button on remote is pressed. Obviously I need to open the boot first to see what the problem is, I can get limited access by having the roof half open but not much. I have another key but seeing it was cut from the other and looks identical, did this car have a valet key and that is what I was given when I bought the car.

    any help would be great

In order to use the button on the remote, you need to hold it down for like 3 seconds or so.. have you tried?

Just went out in the rain to try that without any confidence and it worked. Nice one. I didn't know that. At least now I know it's not the actuator and probably the switch in the handle or a broken wire. Thanks again.
