I would like to fit a towbar to my 2004 passat estate.

I may be able to get a factory fitted towbar complete with electrics from a breaker.

Do the plugs already exist on the loom for me to plug into or will I have to splice into the wires ?

Plugs are removed from the tail lights, plugged into the towbar loom and then back to the lights.
    No splicing or "Scotchloks" required
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Use a bypass relay and splice into the wires at the lights. Sometimes you can piggyback connections at the lights. I prefer to solder the wires but most people use scotchlocks.

Not wishing to criticise but the plugs should already be on these electrics and possibly the relay too

I recently fitted a new after market bar and kit to my 04 saloon, everything was there........just plug and play!

Cheers, I don't have reversing sensors, but I'll get the detachable version anyway.
