Hi all just new to the forum so hello, I have a 54 plate Passat and am in the middle of converting its interior bulbs to blue, looks good and matches the dash! BUT i have a big problem, the dome lights in the rear are integrated into the cars interior sensor system, i managed to get the bulb out but have never seen the likes of this bulb, the front ones were easy being festoon and normal led changes but as i say the rear ones are a problem, they are 12v 3.8w and attached to a "screw" system for removal.
Has anyone successfully changed these bulbs or have any idea where i can get them in blue??
    Thanks in advance.

sorry cant help with the bulbs, how about changing the colour of the lens, paint it blue, or use blue nail varnish, something that wont melt with the heat of the bulb or fade too quickly.

Thanks for the reply, yes i had thought of painting the actual bulb maybe not the lens just incase we ever want to change colours , never know modding is adictive eh ?? so i was looking at different heat resistant paints no luck as yet, maybe radiator paint would o but not sure about how much " luminance " i would get when the bulb was painted!

I got a W8 front light and replaced the 4 W5W bulbs for some LED-based ones. The rear ones, I can't remember exactly, but I got the same W5W LED-based bulbs, and bent the wires straight on the wedge base and soldered them into the rear lamps, or onto the base, can't remember, and bent them at 90 degrees so they shone out of the lens.
    an expensive example....
