I have read on here that someone else has a cigarette lighter that is always 'on' - is this normal?
Is there a simple method of changing it to come on with the ignition?

It seems strange that it should be on all the time

    Thanks

Mine is always on too - it draws little to no current and I often leave my phone/satnav in the car on charge while I'm at work (8 - 10 hours)

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

I thought it more normal for it to come on with the ignition, I recently got a bluetooth car kit which plugs into the cigarette lighter and because it stays on the phone remains paired while in the house, thats not really a problem but I was just worried about the battery running down

On some makes such as Vauxhall and Renault, you can move the fuses to the next position, but this doesn't seem to be the case with ours. Sometimes I leave my peltier coolbox on overnight and get a flat battery, so also wanted to do this.
