    Hi

New to the forum and I picked up my new A3 2.0 TDI (170) Quattro S-line last week. Not completely new but new to me. It is on a 57 plate.

Having driven it for a few days now and not including the first day of lead foot syndrome I am only getting 36MPG. Driving mainly good A roads at steady 60.

I am finding this a little low and disappointing. I know its a powerful engine etc. but I thought I would be in the 40+ area at least being a diesel.

So I was wondering what others are getting especially in similar models.

    Cheers

    Andy

Kinda interesting, i also live in MK. My 2.0TFSI Quattro gives about 20mpg around MK and 30mpg on the motorway (keeping close to 70mph). long term ave is a steady 25mpg regarless.

Collegue has an A3 170TDI, he aves about 38mpg has has a heavy left foot (another MK resident).

You should find MGG improves signifiacntly after aforst couple of tank fills (ie 1000mles) as car gets run-in (I'm assuming it's brand new)

Cars already at 2,500 miles after 3 weeks. The MPG at the weekend is down to my driving style
