The main supply fuses are F1 & F2 on the engine bay fusebox. The ignition is supplied via F2 in the dash fusebox but I doubt you're diag tool would have comms with the ECU if that was blown.

    Hi All

Vehicle: 2006 Golf MKV TDI 2.0 GT

In the past week my transaction control light appearing on the dash during a normal drive. I tried to turn it off using the ESP button but this makes no difference and traction control stays off.

I got my friend to do a code read on his scanner and the G201 – brake pressure sensor failure and was advised by him that it is a common fault for the ECU on the unit to fail and would edit need to have it repaired or replaced. So I decided to get it replaced with a second hand one from a breakers.

Today I have had the ABS replaced and would have thought I just need to clear the code however clearing the code did not do anything and the ABS and transition control light still appear. When I read the ABS Module it says Control Module Incorrectly Coded, codes below:

    5 Faults Found:
01486 - System Function Test Activated
    000 - -01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
    01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded
    003 - Mechanical Failure

I have read up and realised in order to reprogram the ABS unit I require the long code from the original ABS unit and logging and soft code to programme the ABS? my understanding of this process is not very good and would appreciate if there is anyone in the East Midlands area who can program this for me as I am willing to travel.

    Cheers.

You will need to create a login based on the PR data listed, and the label in your trunk or owners manual.
    Example: http://www.ross-tech.net/vag-com/mis...s/PR-Codes.png

Then in the same session, without exiting ABS module or cycling the key off:
    Code the module
    Set G85 Basic settings

If this still doesn't make sense, post a pic of the vehicle ID tag and we will find the login and coding.

Please, I need the login and the code for my 2006 passat 2.0T vehicle ABS Module. Please find vehicle label here; http://imageshack.com/a/img924/3848/92kTFp.jpg and advice.

Well just to close out this thread on my part, I received the replacement ABS pump and controller, disconnected the battery installed the unit and the existing coding was accepted by the main ecu. Reinstated all hydraulics, used vcds to reset all stored fault codes, reset steering angle sensor and now no more lights on dash and running sweet! Result. Thanks for everyone’s assistance.

Your supposed to record the long coding values before removing the original pump assembly, then enter them into the replacement.
If you still have the original unit you can plug it into the harness and read the coding. Failing that you will need to either visit your VW dealer
or contact Ross-Tech to see if they can help, assuming your a registered VCDS user.
