    yeah thanks for that bruce.

    open to anyone:
I am simply interested to know how to generate one, i followed the suggested method however it doesn't work in my case. (see reply by dana) i understand that it depends on he specifics of the car however has someone written a more comprehensive procedure?

I actually don't need a login code anymore thanks to my clone friends at snapon however as a coder i just want to know how to do it!

at the risk of unknowingly offending the above. I can suggest the method that worked for me however only outside of the forum. One thing i can tell you is that, vcds it'self doesn't generate it for you.

Hi wanted to let you know I did 1 typo

i had entered "702" but the proper digits should be "7Q2" (3rd line to the bottom left)

will that have made a difference?

also I really really appreciate your help!!!! FLASH2 - Jim!!

could you possibly teach me how you came up with the codes? I have been trying to understand how the process goes. I went to Ross-tech but the codes would have come up different than what you gave me.

Thank you so much again for your time and knowledge!!!!
