    when cold, a 5w-40 will flow at roughly the same rate as a 5w-30. When at 100C, the 5w-30 will be a bit thinner

    Thanks for that. So its not total disaster if both are mixed? Thinner means it gets to more parts of the engine for longer?

    They're fine to mix and due to it only being a litre, isn't going to make much difference at all

    5 40 pd oil for me all the way... Annual service but I dunno what the mileage is set to, roughly 10k methinks. Took her off the longlife program when I had her 2 years ago when she was @ 75k, currently 120 plus now and going fine.

    PD spec oil, regular changes and you cannot go wrong really

    Castrol edge 5w30 LL and change it after 10k.... The engine will last forever 502.00 and 505.00 and 505.01 is the specs the specs 507.00 is good eather do not make mistake like meny are doing... Don't change the oil in PD engine after 15...20k...... It will resolt in injector, camshaft and hidrolic lifter damage......
