    Hello

My wife's car is a 55 plate 2.0 Golf Plus TDi. The ESP OFF light came on 2 days ago for no reason. Got my mechanic to run a diagnostic on it today and it came back with these codes:

    01435 Brake Pressure Sensor G201
01309 PAS Control Module J500 - no comms

Can anyone tell me exactly what parts I need to source and their part numbers please?

I have read the other threads on ESP topic but I need specific part numbers.

Also has anyone sourced parts for this problem from BBA Reman?

    Thanks for any help

1K0 614 517 AE BEF is the ABS/ESP controller you need. its the 201 sensor failure and there are no re-manufactures of this product.

This means a new ABS pump. BBA cannot yet remanufacture this part, I keep asking them about it but so far no luck.

    Thanks for your replies

Is 1K0 614 517 AE BEF the part number for just the sensor or the whole ABS pump including the sensor?

Is this the same part on later Golf Plus models or did VW sort the problem and upgrade the part? if they did upgrade can it just be transplanted across?

    Thanks again for your help

Its the whole pump, the sensor is inside the control unit and is not replaceable.

This unit is used across the golf platform so you can move them around, but you may just end up with another failing I think AE is the updated part so may be worth hunting for one like that.

I take it the part number above is for the AE version of the pump then?

    1K0 614 517 AE BEF

Do you have any idea what year/model these were fitted to so that I can call some salvage yards?

If not I can check with VW tomorrow

    Thanks for your help

I've managed to track one down at a salvage yard for £90 delivered from a later model

Fingers crossed it does the trick!?!
