    Hi there,
    I have a 2008 Passat Highline with MFSW and MFD. There is the facility to fold the wing mirrors on the wing mirror control knob. However my brain doesn't have the facility to remember to do this before I close the door of the car, therefore I have to put the fob back in the ignition so that I can fold the mirrors in.
    My question is, is there a facility using vag-com to automatically fold in the mirrors when I lock the car?

    Yep, you need to code both mirrors and then the MMI so it recognises the coding.

    Enabling Drivers Door Folding Mirror
    [42 - Door Elect. Driver]
    [Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 4 Bit -> 4 Change 0 to 1
    Or Check the box for "Foldable Mirrors Installed "

    Enabling Passenger Door Folding Mirror
    [52 - Door Elect. Pass]
    [Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 4 Bit -> 4 Change 0 to 1
    Or Check the box for "Foldable Mirrors Installed "

    Enabling MMI Menu for Folding Mirrors
    [46 - Central Conv.]
    [Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 7 Bit -> 7 Change 0 to 1
    Or Check the box for "Foldable Mirrors Installed "

    When you lock the car they should fold in. When you start the engine they should fold out. It will only work if your mirrors have motors in them.

    Some cars can't do it on locking, I know fo' sure the 8K Audi chassis cars have the feature but not aware of the VW range.

    Also, if retrofitting the folding mirrors then not all door module revisions are compatible so this needs to be checked also.

    Mitch seems to have provided Audi info, which may not be applicable to the Passat

    Hi Guys

    Can anyone direct me towards where I can find the hardware in order to program the auto folding mirrors. Currently I have a 2014 Passat 1.6 TDI which has manual mirrors.
