Hi, I have upgraded my ageing passat to a 006 s-line A6 TDi. very happy with the car but I need to get the bluetooth working in some way. there is bluetooth on it and it has a cradle phone, branded Audi but looks like it is a Motorola.

I am sure this question has been asked 1000 times but how do I connect my phone using bluetooth?

    Hi,

I Have an 06 A6 too, i'm guessing the phone is in the centre armrest and you have the option to insert a sim card under the phonde when it pops up?

I have the same kit in mine, and if it is as i think then its not a true bluetooth kit, the bluetooth is merely for the audi phone to connect to the base in the car. Other phones cannot be paired using that bluetooth system.

What you require is to either fit a parrot or such like, but you wont be able to control it via the MMI, or have the bluetooth module fitted as a retro-fit, i'm in the process of arranging to have one fitted, but its not a cheap retro-fit, the fixed phone module that controls the phone in the armrest is located under the seat, then theres the cost of the new blueooth module, harness wiring etc.

Hope that help, sorry its not more positive.

    Stefan

ljopi, does yours have the fixed phone and a bluetooth symbol on the MMI when you press the tel button?

What MMI version are you on?

I believe there are two versions of the fixed phone, one with bluetooth module for use with other phones and that stanard one where the bluetooth is just for the audi handset.
