    Hi,

I have transplanted a 2001 A4 1,8T engine into a mid engined race car I am building. I have most of the wiring harness from the wreak I got the engine from. I have power to the starter, but no power to the dash. Before stripping the wreak the dash gave me warnings about car and engine problem (e.g. the headlights were fautly (smashed), the engine oil was low, etc.)

I need help with what the wiring problem to the dash might be and what I have to do to get the dash to display.

Any help or idea's would be great.

    Regards
    Glenn.

Why are you using the dash? If it's just for the immobiliser, then you'd be better off killing the immobiliser in the ECU which will allow the engine to run without the dash and associated key - and save you a LOT of headaches!
