I sometimes get juddering when pulling away when the engine is cold, the same, first 5 - 10 minutes. Doe not happen when reversing off the drive, only when pulling away.

Snap! only when it's damp though, then it's fine after the first couple of pull aways in first and the rest of the day. I was wondering if a cold start and turning everything on to get going is causing the revs to drop, thus causing the initial judder on clutch take up. I have found a bit more use of the accelerator helps.

57 plate GT Sport TDi 140.

Its been back to garage a few times now, they have changed the flywheel and clutch, checked all the timing tosion valves etc. and everything seems perfect!!!!!! In the garage today for service and also checking the clutch switch on the request of vw technical so we shall see. I think it maybe down to the throttle pedal unit itself may need senting up again as it needs a good inch of movement for any power and any light touch causes stutter feeling

I get this too on my 08 with 19k, its been in on numerous occassions. But surprise surprise they cannot fault it.

That or the lumpy idle... would you guys say both issues point to DMF/Clutch?
