    Hi all,

i have just bought a 06 A3 sportback 2L TDI. and was wondering if its possible to have the D.I.S installed on it if so does anyone have an idea how much its likely to cost...or if its possible altogether.

any help or comment will be appreciated

    many thanks

to be honest i doubt it would be possible. Then again in the motor world anything is possible but its looking to cost you an arm and a leg.

You would most certainly need to fit a new dash board (clocks, speedo, rev.) If you could do it, then it wont be the new colour version. Speak to an audi dealer...they will more than likely say no there.

Depends which clocks are installed on your car now, if you have the large red display then its possible, if not then you need new clocks.

I do quite a lot of these. New clocks required but second hand ones are no problem to code in. New steering wheel control module and associated stalk.

Definitely possible and not that expensive using second hand clocks.

Which cluster do you have now? Could you post a picture?

Good luck with your dealer.. the standard response is "Not Possible" to most things I base my business on!!

yep! thats the response i generally get. But its a different story when you order a new car and the factory forget to add something!

will get a picture soon, the cluster i have has got the two main speedo + tacho clocks with time, temp, and mileage etc. then i have a display in the middle (where i guess the D.I.S would go) but instead i just have warning symbols for different things.

If you have warning symbols where the screen should be then your instrument cluster would need to be replaced with one that has a screen. It's not a big thing, as I said I can code second hand clusters in rather than paying £600+ for new ones!
