Or aux power as i believe they are now called.

neither of my 2 outputs work in the center console.

the boot one works fine and yes I checked the phone charger in another to check it was working.

I cant seem to find a blown fuse anywhere nor a diagram of the fuse panel in the car.

    Anywhere i should be looking?

Ignition needs to be on both for centre console sockets and boot socket to work on mine.

I know it may be hard to believe but I do know that.

it was tried with the engine running to be sure.

Both Centre console power outlets are completely dead. The rear outlet is fine and no fuses seem to be blown.

Been demonstrated on here that not everyone does know that. Also IIRR some folks' B6s do not need the ignition on for this purpose. I wish mine were like that.

Do you have your cars manual? there is a graph in there that should state which fuse number is the one you are after. Is there anything else not working on your car? I know on other marques sometimes the interior lights may be on the same fused circuit and thus wont work either.

The power outlets have their own fuse but the position varies with model & year. I would have a much closer look at the fuses. Left and right side of dashboard. A blown fuse is a common problem.

I would prefer mine to be independent of the ignition as well, so I've taken an interest in the topic when it's been raised, but I can't recall anyone saying their sockets don't depend on the ignition being on.

There are live and ignition live bus bars in the fuse boxes. If you find the correct wire you can move it from an ignition live busbar to a constant live one.
