My dad bought an 09 plate Jetta 1.9 TDi SE DSG 6 months ago, and although we've had no mechanical problems with it (touch wood) we have had a problem when driving over loose chippings or gravel. You only notice that there's something trapped when turning tight bends and you get a loud clunking noise as if one of the steering arms is broken.
According to the dealer stones get trapped in the front brake caliper area and cause this problem, but it'd happened 3 times now and it is becoming a bit of a pain.
Is there anyone else out there who's had the same problem, and is there any way to rectify it?

    Regards

    stonedisc

My wife had it on her 2.0 TDI,made an incredible racket.

Called out Volkswagen Assistance who removed a pebble, said that it often happens.I don't think you can do a lot about it.
