Non-smoking Pack

Anyone got an A3 with this option?
If you have, please can you let me know:

1) How big/useful is the 'centre storage compartment'?

2) Is the 12V socket located in the same place in the centre console that the cigarette lighter is on cars without the non-smoking pack, and does it
have a spring-loaded cover to it?

Hi. I believe the non smoking option consists of a gismo that sits on top of the dashboard. And whenever you attempt to light a cigarette it fires a poisonous dart into the side of your neck.Hope this helps.

It doesn't seem to be matron!

The storage area is big enough for a small square box of tissues. (Thats what we put in ours)
The 12v socket is in the same place. It has a sprung cover over it.
We ordered this as a an option when we bought the car (new).
If you dont smoke then I think its worth doing.

I retro-fitted the non-smoking pack with the help of VAG Parts (RIP). Well worth it, loads of useful space, usually stacks of CDs, or mobile, keys and a Snickers!
