Hi, could anyone give me any tips on replacing the coolant on my car MK4 Golf PD150, where is the drain plug on the rad??, is ther an additional drain plug on the system, how to eliminate air lock? is there a way of removing unwanted air from the system?? etc, I already have the correct pink long life anti-freeze. Thanks in advance

Drain it by removing bottom hose, these dont really airlock that much to be honest and if they do just do the normal let it get warm with reservoir cap off.You could also flush through with just normal water 1st if you wanted to make sure all deposits are out of system then drain again, then put your antifreeze in.How come your changing the antifreeze?
I dont work here for the pay,or the enjoyment,so why do i work here

Good point why are you changing it? Have you checked the gravity?

Hi Tony, cheers for the info, sounds simple, changing the antifreeze as a matter of course, no other reason, I could just top it up I suppose. All the best Andy
