    Default A4 TDI 115 PD - Diesel Filter – 24-04-2007,08:23 PM
    Hi,

    Had my car serviced 3 months ago by local VAG specialist, who replaced all the filters. I have just changed the oil myself and noticed there is diesel lying on top of the fuel filter housing. I assume the PD's filters are different from non PD's. Looking at mine, it looks like the filter screws onto the bottom of what looks like a cooling housing with a hole in the top and a recessed bolt. It is this hole which is filled with diesel. I dryed it up with a cloth yesterday and have recheked it today only to find more diesel lying there. Has anybody else experienced this? could be the filter/bolt hasn't been tightened properly, or something worse.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem found.

    Turned out to be faulty seals on diesel filter.
