    Guys/girls

Really frustrated with my van at the moment, the remote central locking has stopped working again. It had a wet CCU months ago which I replaced, recoded and re-adapted keys to. Worked fine for months until this morning.

New battery fitted, no better. Tried to recode but VAG-COM reports an error following test and save, and the stored value never changes from 1, even if I set it to 2. There are no error codes at all.

    Vehicle is a 2004 VW Transporter T5 1.9 TDI.

Would be grateful for any help, I know there isn't a lot to work on but I'm pulling my hair out.

    Managed to trace the problem.

The connectors on the van are green with corrosion too.

Looks a nightmare of a job, I asked the bloke at VW who says its a nasty job and they have had to do re-wire the connectors before.

I've tried to pull the connectors out with the help of a paper clip but to no avail. Anybody know where I can get a decent crimp tool to remove the pins from the CCU connectors on the van side?

    Cheers.

There is a vw electrical pin removal tool, a bit like a screwdriver. You can probably find one on ebay these days.

    Thanks for the response.
The only tool that I can find that is as you describe is this.

Is that the sort of thing I need to be looking for?

No the VW one is similar but with a spike end. I'll put up a picture if I can find one.
