    Hi

Yesterday tried the Park Assist for the first time and the system park too close to the curbs and scuffed the rear passenger side alloy wheel! have tried to park today in few times at different streets and it would have been the same if i hadn't interfere.. i was wondering if anyone experienced the same issue and whether i could do anything about this

    thanks!

I think I read somewhere that it lines up with the cars in front and behind. So if they're too close, you will be too. I don't think it actually knows where the kerb is.

Correction: definitely not the answer he was looking for. The man has paid for parking assist and it does nothing of the sort!

I would not be happy if my new car with its expensive option wrecked a wheel, they should replace the wheel FOC and find out what is wrong with the system ASAP!

thanks guys for the comments and the link - ill try working out the system in the next few days..
i guess it would make sense that the Park Assist aligns the car according to the vehicles in front and behind it rather than the curb itself.. not sure

    thanks

The system is called assist for a reason - its not foolproof. No different that parking sensors, they won;t stop you hitting an object as sometimes the coverage isn't good enough or the driver takes no notice.
